Directions

Pengwernydd is situated in spectacular mid Wales. We are only 1 mile from Pontrhydygroes, which was once the focus of a busy silver mining area. Here you can find The Miners Arms where they serve a full pub menu including Vegetarian dishes and Specials. We are only a 12 mile drive, through a beautiful winding valley, from the busy University town of Aberystwyth.

From North Wales:
Take the A470 (or coast road) to Dolgellau, the A487 to Aberystwyth. From Aberystwyth take the B4340, at Abermagwr turn left and take the road to Pontrhydygroes. Pengwernydd is situated at New Row.
From the North:
Follow signs from Chester to Wrexham, then Oswestry, Welshpool and Aberystwyth.
From the Midlands:
Mid Wales is less than 2 hours drive from the Midlands. From The M54 / A5, follow signs from Shrewsbury to Welshpool then Aberystwyth.
From the South:
Take the M4 to Carmarthen, A485 to Lampeter, follow signs to Tregaron then take the B4343 to Pontrhydyfendigaid, follow the sign for Devils Bridge which takes you to Pontrhydygroes. At Pontrhydygroes turn left immediately after the bridge, drive approximately 1 mile, passing New Row and Pengwernydd is on the right.
